(LENDER) Lending an item - Create a Listing:

1.      Click “+List Your Item”.

2.      Register with your email and phone number.

3.      Select the Category of your item and add a title, price per day/week/month.

We recommend using discounts for longer rentals!

4.      Choose a security amount in case of damage or loss.

Note that you can claim up to this amount in case of damage or loss. For more details on how the security amount works, see our FAQs section.

5.      Decide if you want to Quick Rent your item.

This means that you don’t have to go through an additional approval process (plus less chances for the borrower to change their mind!). The time period to approve a request is 48 hours. We encourage the Quick Rent option as it is the fastest way to start earning money!

6.       Include a detailed description of your item.

This part is important! List any relevant characteristics like measurements, functionalities, conditions of use, etc. Please make sure that the item matches the description at the time of renting. Be honest!

7.      Choose a location where you can handover the item to the Borrower.

8.      Include clear photos of the item.

We recommend taking multiple photos of your item from different angles both for more transparency and for evidence of the item’s condition prior to renting.

You can also create a catchy video to display your item and paste the link under the description. The video will automatically appear below the description of your listing.

9.      Once you save your listing, make sure to share it with your friends and networks to quickly find borrowers!

We have made this easier by including social media buttons around your listing.

 

(LENDER) Lending an Item - Lending process:

1.      We will notify you as soon as someone books your item.

2.      If you have enabled Quick Rent, you will not have to approve a booking request, your item will be automatically booked.

3.      If you have not enabled Quick Rent, you will need to approve a booking request from a potential Borrower within 48 hours.

We will send you email instructions on how to do this. Alternatively, you can approve via the notification sent to your inbox.

4.      Once you approve, just arrange a pick up with your Borrower using our Messaging functions.

We encourage to meet up with your Borrower and exchange your item in person to avoid issues.

5.      And yes, your payment! You will receive it 24 hours after the start of the rental period.

 

(LENDER) Lending an Item - End of the rental period:

1.      Once your rental period is over, you will receive back your item from your Borrower.

You will need to arrange a method to pick up your item.

2.      Once you’ve received your item, examine it carefully and make sure it’s in good condition.

In case of damage or loss, you need to inform us within 24 hours by selecting the “dispute” option in the related transaction (you can see all past and current transactions in your Inbox). This might also be a good time to take some photos of the damages.

You will need to provide proof of damage and an estimated cost in the conversation between you and your borrower. We will assess your request and will assist you accordingly.

4.      Once the transaction is complete, we encourage you to leave an honest review about your experience.

 

(BORROWER) Borrowing an item: Select and borrow

1.      Registered or not, you are welcome to take a look at the items for rent.

You can filter for name, username, price, location or availability period.

You will see a rocket sign on some of the listings, this means that they are available for Quick Renting. If you select an item with Quick Renting, you will not have to wait until the Lender approves your request. Your request will be immediately approved!

2.      Once you see something you like, select the item and read the description carefully.

You also have an option to contact the Lender through our messaging functionality if you need more information.

3.      After reviewing everything, go ahead and click the button!

You will be automatically directed to the log in/sign up page (if you have not already done so). Please have your ID document ready for a quick verification step, it will only take a few minutes. This is to reassure the Lender of the identity of their Borrower as well as to enable you to rent from our platform without having to pay any security amount upfront! Verification is only required once, and you will not go through this again if you have already been verified.

Once you’re verified you can continue to checkout!

4.      In checkout, we will ask for your signature and your payment details.

Please make sure to read our policy carefully prior to signing. By signing and clicking the button to rent you are bound by our terms as well as the conditions of this transaction. This means that in case of damage or loss you agree to pay up to the full cost of the indicated security amount requested by the Lender. The exact amount of your liability will be determined by us. Please see the related section in our FAQs for more information about this agreement.

Once you sign, please proceed with inputting your payment details. Don’t worry, all your information is safe with us, we will never share these with a third party (you can read our Privacy Policy here).

Once this is done, you can go ahead and rent the item!

If you have Quick rented the item, your rental request is immediately approved. Otherwise, we will notify you as soon as the Borrower approves your request (they have 2 days to do so).

5.      Now, all you need to do is arrange a pick up with your Lender!

You can easily do this by using our messaging functionality.



(BORROWER) Borrowing an item: End of the rental period

1.      Make sure to return the item back to the Lender on time and in the condition that it was rented to you.

2.      After arranging the final handover with your Lender, they have 24 hours to confirm that there was no damage to the item.

In case of damage or loss, the Lender may raise a dispute. We will mediate this process as quickly as possible considering evidence from both sides. You are advised to take photos of the item that you rent the moment you receive it in order to protect yourself in case of disputes.

3.      Once the transaction is complete, we encourage you to leave an honest review about your experience.

 

(SELLER) Selling an item: Create a Listing

1.      Click “+List Your Item”.

2.      Register with your email and phone number.

3.      Select the Category of your item and add a title and price.

4.      Decide if you want to Quick Sell your item.

This means that you don’t have to go through an additional approval process (plus less chances for the buyer to change their mind!). The time period to approve a request is 48 hours. We encourage the Quick Buy option as it is the fastest way to start earning money!

5.      Include a detailed description of your item.

This part is important! List any relevant characteristics like measurements, functionalities, user guides, etc. Please make sure that the item matches the description at the time of sale. Be honest!

You can also create a catchy video of your item and paste the link under the description. The video will automatically appear under the description of your listing.

6.      Choose a method for item exchange.

You can either choose a pick up method where you need to arrange a location to handover your item to the Buyer, or you can choose a delivery method.

Note that since we currently don’t provide an integrated delivery service, you will need to arrange the delivery yourself and add it on the total price if needed.

(SELLER) Selling an Item: Selling process

1.      We will notify you as soon as someone buys or requests to buy your item.

2.      If you have enabled Quick Buy, you will not have to approve a purchase request, your item will be automatically booked for purchase.

3.      If you have not enabled Quick Buy, you will need to approve a buying request from a potential buyer within 48 hours.

We will send you email instructions on how to do this. Alternatively, you can approve via the notification sent to your inbox.

4.      Once you approve, just arrange a pick up or delivery with your Buyer using our messaging functions.

We encourage you to meet up with your Buyer and exchange your item in person to avoid issues.

5.      You have 7 days to deliver or arrange pick up with your Buyer.

Similarly, the Buyer will have 7 days to confirm to us that they’ve received the item with no problems. Once they do so, we will transfer the payment to your account.

If you are unable to deliver the item within 7 days, please communicate this clearly to the Buyer to avoid them raising a dispute!

!!! Please note that if finally the Buyer does not wish to purchase the item, you will need to cancel the transaction in order to avoid any disputes against you !!!

6.      Once the transaction is complete, we encourage you to leave an honest review about your experience.

 

(BUYER) Buying an Item: Select and buy

1.      Registered or not, you are welcome to take a look at the items for sale.

You can filter for name, username, price or location.

2.      Once you see something you like, select the item and read the description carefully.

You also have an option to contact the Seller through our messaging function if you need more information.

3.      After reviewing everything, go ahead and click the button!

You will be automatically directed to the log in/sign up page (if you have not already done so).

Note that when you click to buy an item you are “booking it” for yourself. This means that the Seller will have to approve your booking request (if the item is not up for Quick Buy).

4.      In checkout, we will ask you for your payment details.

Don’t worry, your information is safe with us, we will never share these with a third party (you can read our Privacy Policy here).

5.      Once you confirm your payment details, your payment will be frozen on your account. We will not transfer your payment to the Seller yet.

6.      Now, all you need to do is arrange a pick up or delivery with your Seller!

You can easily do this using our messaging function.

 

(BUYER) Buying an Item: Receipt

1.      From the time of your purchase, you will have 7 days to confirm to us that you have received the item.

It is up to you and the Seller to arrange delivery or pick up within this time. Once you mark the order as complete, we will unfreeze the payment and transfer it to the Seller.

If we still don’t hear from you at the end of 7 days, we will transfer the payment to the Seller. So, please make sure to notify us immediately within this period in case of any issues.

If you no longer wish to purchase the item, please request from the Seller to cancel your order. In case of any issue with the item or its delivery, please communicate first with the Seller. If issues are still unresolved, you have the option to raise a dispute.
